Rain, rain everywhere, in most of Pennsylvania and along the eastern coast. Mandatory evacuation is being called for in parts of Northeastern PA. This situation brought to my mind a recent story I read about Dutch creationist Johan Huibers who spent three years and $1.6 million building a modern-day replica of the Biblical ark. It’s reportedly the same size as the original ark. That’s about 450 feet long and 75 feet wide. The ark’s builder is hoping to moor his gigantic boat in London during the 2012 Summer Olympics.

We’ve visited Holland , Huibers home, and there it is easy to imagine a great flood wiping that country off the map. The flooding in our area will not last 40 days and 40 nights. It is expected to crest Thursday night. We won’t need a Noah’s ark replica. We know that because of God’s promise not to flood the earth again. AND, He keeps his promises. In the meantime pray for all those facing the horrible clean up as a result of flooding in our area.
